Olympian isn’t just a fitness studio concept—it’s a vision I developed from the ground up for my Bachelor’s project. My goal was to create a space where fitness transcends workouts and becomes a lifestyle. Inspired by renowned American fitness centers like Alphaland and Fusion-Gym and local leaders like DASGYM and John Harris, Olympian was crafted to build a true sense of community. This is my journey, as a solo designer, toward reimagining fitness for Austria.

Research & Inspiration
Olympian began with extensive research, which I conducted independently, diving into what makes certain fitness communities thrive. Studying both international and local fitness giants helped me understand the elements of successful, community-driven fitness models. I found inspiration in the American focus on holistic wellness and community belonging, while Austrian studios like DASGYM provided insight into local expectations. This research informed Olympian’s foundation—a blend of top-tier facilities with a supportive environment where fitness enthusiasts could nurture their physical and mental well-being.

Building the Brand Identity
With a solid understanding of the market, I moved on to creating Olympian’s brand identity. This was my opportunity to shape every element—visual, verbal, and emotional—so it resonated with Olympian’s core values. I wanted Olympian to be a place of high energy, inclusivity, and personal growth. From the bold logo design to the dynamic studio concept, each detail was crafted to communicate that fitness is a journey supported by a like-minded community. Olympian’s identity embodies a message that resonates deeply with anyone seeking self-improvement, all while being part of something bigger.

A Community-Centric Approach
Central to my concept was Olympian’s community-centric approach. In my vision, fitness should be more than individual workouts; it should foster real connections. Beyond exercise, Olympian would offer workshops and seminars to encourage growth on multiple levels—physically, mentally, and emotionally. The idea was to cultivate an environment where members could support one another through shared goals and challenges. Olympian’s community-driven culture aims to make the fitness journey collaborative and inspiring, reinforcing the idea that we’re stronger together.

App Design and Conceptualization
Understanding that technology plays a huge role in modern fitness, I conceptualized a dedicated Olympian app as part of the experience. This app would provide members with tools to track their fitness journey, monitor health metrics like heart rate and sleep, and set personal goals. Through real-time data and feedback, the app empowers users to take control of their progress in a tailored way. This digital edge sets Olympian apart, offering a unique, modern experience that enhances members' fitness journeys.

Launch & Marketing Strategy
For Olympian’s launch strategy, I focused on targeting fitness enthusiasts who believe in a holistic approach. The marketing plan highlighted Olympian’s unique blend of community, personal progress, and tech-driven support. The app, featured prominently, gives potential members insight into tracking and improving their wellness journey. Additionally, Olympian’s range of premium nutritional products—available in the conceptualized studio restaurant and through the app—reinforces a commitment to fostering a healthy lifestyle.
